Doubloon Lagoon^TM is an exciting game of exploration and chase for two to four players. Each player commands a ship and crew in a race to find the lost treasure. Players take turns sailing their ships, engaging in boarding battles, landing crew as search parties, and exploring the islands searching for the treasure. Search parties can engage in hand-to-hand combat with opposing search parties, vicious wild animals, and unthinkable monsters, or unleash long dormant magic and mythical artifacts. Players can inflict devestating effects on their unsuspecting opponents, like lightning storms, pirate attacks, sea monsters and more!

Game Components

Doubloon Lagoon^TM is a Desktop Published (DTP) game which includes a mapboard, counters, cards, and rules. Players supply the dice. After download, a color inkjet or laser printer can be used to prepare the game components. For the cards, pre-cut business card sheets are best. For recommendations on preparation of the components read Preparing Your Game.

Your game will contain:

Two decks of cards, an Event Deck and an Adventure Deck, contain a mix of cards which you can use to cause havoc on your opponents or help speed you away with the recovered treasure.
Counters representing the ships and their crews. These counters can be printed, cut, and mounted by the players prior to the first game.
A complete set of rules that are fast reading and illustrated.
A hexagonal mapboard depicting the islands and the player's home ports. The mapboard consists of eight numbered segments for ease of assembly and measures approximately 25"x20" when assembled.
Player aids such as item stowage sheets and a combat matrix.

Doubloon Lagoon^TM is free for download. However, a lot of design, production, and playtesting went into the game. You can see this in the quality of the components and the well designed play balance. We ask that if you are satisfied with the game, please contribute a "shareware" fee of $10.00.
